Hajj-Umrah 2020

ISDHH proudly announces the first American Deaf delegation for Umrah and Hajj, a holy pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The delegation will be accompanied by ASL interpreters. Members of the delegation will visit the holy sites of Mecca and the prophet’s city of Medina, and perform the sacred rites of Hajj and Umrah. The trip will, without any doubt, be memorable and life changing for all deaf muslims who’d have the privilege to attend. This ISDHH project would be made possible with the generous donations of our supporters InshaAllah. Thanks to all of you.

One Ummah Pre-Eid Celebration

Allen Masjid Summer Camp and Islamic Services for Deaf & Hard of Hearing (ISDHH) would love to celebate Eid, as our beloved Rasullallah (SalAllahu Alayhi wa Salam) has taught us, as truly as one Ummah bringing together Muslims from all paths of life. We want to celebrate how Allah (subhanhu wa ta’ala) has Made all of us special and how we can learn from each other and grow stronger together! Please join us with your kids!

ISDHH would love to introduce you all about upcoming wedding of Nilufar Ulmasova And Syed Ali Hasnain. Nilufar and her mother are from Uzbekistan, and came to USA 8 years ago. Ali Syed is from Pakistan, and came to USA rcently. ISDHH joyfully invites you to share in their happiness and help them as they start a new life together. They are very simple, and do not have anything except their faith and each other. Thank you!

 

Rahma's Opening ASL Recitation

ISDHH president Rahma (Rebecca) is invited to do opening recitation in ASL at Annual fundraiser of Islamic Center of Frisco. She will be reciting 3 Surahs: Al-Fateha, Al-Ikhlaas & Al-Kafiroon, all in American Sign Language.

ISDHH is honored and thrilled to be invited to have a booth at DFW Largest Deaf Expo Event celebrating Deaf heritage.

Global Village Multicultural Festival

Global Village Frisco 2018 is a multicultural festival celebrating the diversity of our unique Frisco community. The festival will include food from various countries/cultures, traditional dance and music from various cultures, and unique artifacts from various cultures. Frisco Arts is a proud sponsor of the performance stage. Free and open to the public!

Fundraiser

We are are seeking your generosity and donations to help fund our Muslim charity organization. Our mission is to make accessible Islamic Education videos for the Muslim Deaf Community explaining Islam in depth through the stories of the Prophets. Experience of the McWilliamses

ISDHH had second annual Interfaith Event on April 10, 2016 in Richardson, Texas at Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT) in collaboration with the world renowned,  The National Theatre of the Deaf (NTD). The event once again brought together Jewish, Christian and Muslim deaf.

Cantor Sheri Allen has been the part-time service leader at Congregation Beth Shalom for the past five years. She also works as a Chaplain for Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, and also does PRN (on-call) Chaplaincy work at THR Harris Methodist Hospital, both in Ft. Worth. Cantor Allen has been leading services, teaching, and creating innovative programming for the Tarrant County Jewish Community for the past twenty years. Read more...

Rev. Tom Hudspeth, who born hard of hearing and grew up oral deaf, represents the United Methodist Commitee on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Ministries at the Task Force. He is the executive pastor and pastor of the Deaf at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. He is the General Secretary of the World Federation of Deaf Methodists, and a consultant for the United Methodist Committee on Deaf & Hard of Hearing Ministries. Read more...

Shaykh Omar Suleiman is a world-renowned Islamic scholar from New Orleans, Louisiana, currently residing in Dallas. He is also the founder of the Islamic Learning Foundation of Texas. He teaches with several prestigious international institutions of higher learning such as Mishkah University, Al Maghrib institute, and Bayyinah Institute.
