Second Inter-Faith Deaf Event

ISDHH had second annual Interfaith Event on April 10, 2016 in Richardson, Texas at Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT) opens a new window in collaboration with the world renowned,  The National Theatre of the Deaf (NTD) opens a new window. The event once again brought together Jewish, Christian and Muslim deaf.

Amina papa

Amina Papa is CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult). She is married with two children, and works full time as a Compliance Analyst. Amina is actively involved with the Valley Ranch Islamic Center's Women's Committee, Islamic Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as well as DFW Refugee Outreach Services. She is actively involved with helping anyone she can with the biggest smile on her face.

Rev. Tom Hudspeth

Rev. Tom Hudspeth, who born hard of hearing and grew up oral deaf, represents the United Methodist Commitee on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Ministries at the Task Force. He is the executive pastor and pastor of the Deaf at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. He is the General Secretary of the World Federation of Deaf Methodists, and a consultant for the United Methodist Committee on Deaf & Hard of Hearing Ministries.

Ceasar Rentie

Ceasar Rentie is a former professional football player who hung up his cleats to take on another calling – to become a minister. He grew up in with two deaf-mute parents. He is the Chaplain Vice president of Pastoral Services for Methodist Health System in Dallas, and also a liscenced local Pastor for North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.
